SUGAR & SPICE GINGERBREAD CHALLENGE 2012 
This year houses will be place directly in storefront windows and be judged by a panel of pastry professionals.
First, second and third place winners will receive a trophy and gift basket from the local stores.
There is no age catagory; families and groups may work together to create one house.
 
Houses must be entered by sending in the entry form or directly at Creative Events and be in their designated storefront no later than November 21; in time for the downtown Holiday parade.
 
This year the option for your house to be auctioned for the local food bank may be considered. Confirmation and details will be available later in the year.
  
 
RULES - please read carefully.
1. Every part of the gingerbread house entry, inside and out, must be made of edible materials. Wrappers must be removed.
   Only the supporting base is permitted to be non-edible and not more than an inch high (plywood is recommended) and lights on the inside of your house are allowed.
 
2. Overall size is limited to 24'' wide by 24'' deep. No limit to height.
 
3. You must be registered to qualify. A $10.00 non-refundable fee is required to enter.
 
4. You will be assigned a store to be displayed in. We will try to honor requests. You are responsible for the delivery and retrieval of your house to and from the store. 
 
5. You must deliver your entry to the store that was assigned no later than Wednesday, November 21 or according to the hours that store may be open. No adjustments to the entry may be made after the house is in place. 
 
6. Judging ends at the end of Saturday;December 15 and winners will be disclosed on Monday,December 17.  Houses must be removed from the premises by December 29 or they will be disposed of.
 
7. The contest is open to everyone, professional or novice. 
 
11. Kits may be used if parts are edible.
 
12. Deadline to get your application in is Monday, November 19, 2011.
 
13. Entries must be the work of the person(s) named on the application.
